The DecimaQuinta Choir was born in the Parish of San Gaspare del Bufalo in December 2016 with the aim of bringing together transversally, and musically, many of the parish activities. The Choir began its activity with 20 singers, reaching today almost 50. The genre dealt with ranges from cultured to popular music, crossing both sacred and secular music. In May 2017 the Choir participated in the first edition of the "Cantate Inni con Arte" competition, organized and promoted by the radio station RadioPiù for the diocese of Rome, ranking finalist. A year later, in May 2018, the choir participated in the second edition of the competition "Cantate Inni con Arte" with the song Gerusalemme by Vincenzo Mauro, winning in the unpublished category. Since June 2018 he has been organizing the "Roma coRossal", a coRossale review of the Parish of San Gaspare del Bufalo, a meeting place between Italian musical realities and the city of Rome. Since its inception, the choir has participated in many musical initiatives in Rome, always accepting with enthusiasm and gratitude the invitations received. He has also collaborated with several exponents of the international music scene including: -"The O'Neill Brothers group" – Minnesota, for the realization of Handel's Hallelujah; – Maestro Johannes Matthias Michel – Germany, for the Italian performance of some of his pieces; – The "Society of Jesus" – Rome, for liturgical celebrations. He recently passed a cognitive audition for DCINY (Distinguished Concerts International New York). The aim of the choir is to bring children and adults closer to the masterpieces of choral music with the hope that every human being can acquire the awareness of being a wonderful musical instrument. The choir is therefore open to all. No previous musical experience is necessary, because it is built together. The choir rehearses every Friday evening from 20.45 to 22.45 at the Parish of San Gaspare del Bufalo (Via Borgo Velino, 1 – Rome) and is always open to new enthusiastic choristers.
