Biography

The Schola Cantorum “Our Lady of the Rosary” of Vibo Marina, was born for a liturgical service that is that, according to the Conciliar Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium, to sanctify the faithful and glorify the Lord with song.
His ministry, therefore, is to animate every kind of celebration, from Sunday Mass and all sacramental celebrations to the Divine Office. For this reason, the Schola, which is much more simply a parish choir, has animated liturgies in truly evocative places: the Lower Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, the Porziuncola, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Grotto of Lourdes, holding a concert in the Basilica of Lourdes; Sanctuary of Pompeii, several churches in Medjugorje, Church of Gesù Nuovo in Naples. In 2010 he participated and animated the Holy Mass for RAI UNO in the Cathedral of Miletus.
At the competition held this year for the A.M.In Calabria in the Scholae Cantorum section she came first, obtaining the second place in the polyphonic choirs section.
The tenacity and passion, the friendship and esteem among the choristers, the personal faith and the search for God, the generosity in the commitment have allowed the members of the Schola, ordinary people with a great love for singing, to obtain from a musical and choral point of view, great satisfactions and manifestations of affection and esteem.
The Schola is conducted by Quattrocchi Lucia and Caterina Timpano, who is also the organist.
