The “Solovushka” Neryungri Choral School of Music for Children is one of the best schools in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the only choral school in the region. In 2015 she became the winner of the all-Russian competition and entered the list of the “50 best art schools”. In 26 years she graduated with over 500 students who received pre-professional music education.
School students constantly participate in competitions of young artists, receiving prizes. Young artists are welcome at the concert venues of the city and the region.
The pride of the school is considered to be the Senior Concert Choir – a multiple winner of All-Russian and international choral competitions. Pure rumors of “nightingales” rang out in many countries of the world, in cities – Moscow, Yakutsk, Aldan, Tynda.
The choir constantly participates in the festive liturgies in the Neryungri Temple of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
In 2015 the school became the winner of the all-Russian contest “50 best art schools”
The Solovushka Children’s Choral Music School was founded on 01.09. 1989 with ordinance n. 46/1 / for the Department of Culture of the Neryungri Administration.
The founder and first director of the school, Petr Nikolaevich Voronov, is an honored artist from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), a graduate of the Kiev State Institute of Culture.
Currently the Director of the Institute is Tatyana Alekseevna Sedelnikova – Deputy Director of Educational Work: Solovyova Lyudmila Alekseevna
CHOIR REPERTOIRE
The choir’s repertoire is based on Russian and foreign classical music, elaboration of folk songs and music of contemporary composers. Particular attention is paid to Russian sacred music. Russian Orthodox sacred music is an integral part of the repertoire of the senior concert choir. In the choir piggy bank there is a vast priceless repertoire collected over the years. These works play in concert programs and competitions, the choir constantly participates in festive liturgies in the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Neryungri.
