Biography

The Choir is an idea of galciana’s Proposal Don Gianluca Rosati, born from the desire to create a cultural entity that would develop the culture of Sacred Singing going beyond the “choir” that animates the Sunday Liturgical Celebration.
The impetus for the transformation of the idea into a project came thanks to the meeting with Maestro Leonardo Gabuzzini, director of the “Edoardo Chi ti” Rhythm Symphony Orchestra in Prato and, above all, a parishioner. Given the enthusiasm and commitment of the aspiring choristers and the Maestro, once the group was organized, the time had come to give a name to the new reality. And we thought of Don Raffaello Giunti, for 50 years parish priest of Galciana as well as musician, organist and composer. On December 24, 2011 on the occasion of the Christmas Mass at Midnight in the Church of San Pietro took place the debut of the Choir. In the first four years the “Corale Don Giunti” performed in concerts alone or accompanied by “I Papillons”. “I Papillons” is a Wind Sextet that was born from the desire of a group of musicians / friends to join in the common language of Music composed of: Monica Mattioli flute, Fabrizio Filippi tuba, Rocco Murante clarinet, Stefania Nardoni alto sax, Nadia Mastromartino trombone, Salvatore La Giorgia trumpet, Emanuela Cavini solo voice, Gerardo De Muzio trumpet, director.
