The Anima Sacred Music Choir was founded in 2011 on the basis of the Suzirya Student Choir (now the Suzirya Folk Song and Dance Ensemble) of the Lozova Vocational Higher College of Arts.

From 04 to 08 December 2011 the band participated in the II International Competition of Vocal Ensembles. D. Bortnyansky in Kyiv and won the third prize.

Every year the team takes part in city events to celebrate Victory Day, the day of the Chernobyl tragedy, the day of the liberation of Lozova (“Requiem Rally”), etc. Graduate students take state qualifying exams with the participation of the choir of sacred music “Anima” (conducting works without accompaniment). The choir’s repertoire consists of spiritual works by O. Arkhangelsky, D. Bortnyansky, M. Leontovych, K. Stetsenko, P. Chesnokov, I. Denisova, etc.

The leader of the choir is Khodykina Yevheniya Oleksandrivna – a teacher of the highest category of the MUNICIPAL INSTITUTION “LOZIVSKY PROFESSIONAL HIGHER COLLEGE OF ARTS” OF KHARKIV REGIONAL COUNCIL.

Yevhenia Oleksandrivna graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture with a degree in choral conducting in 2009. He has been working at the college as a teacher of choral disciplines since September 2010.

In her work with the ensemble, Yevheniya Oleksandrivna focuses on the harmonious sound of voices, purity of intonation when performing works unaccompanied, purposefully works on the development of vocal abilities, the formation of interest in vocal and choral creativity. He is able to create an atmosphere of mutual respect, friendliness and responsibility in the team. The educational process is carried out at a high methodological level.

As the choirmaster of the folk song and dance ensemble “Constellation” and the leader of the choir of spiritual music “Anima”, he fully promotes the development of vocal and choral culture of students of the choral department of the college. Students of Eugenia Alexandrovna in the vocal and choral groups of the college became winners of international and national festivals, competitions, contests, participated in international, national and regional cultural and educational events.

For conscientious work, creative activity, initiative and assistance in the development of folk choral singing of Loziv region she was awarded diplomas and thanks of the Department of Culture of Lozova City Council and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
