The Remedium Choir was founded in 1998 on the initiative of the former members of the Choir of Pomeranian Medical Academy.
Under the management of prof. Ryszard Handke sing in it doctors of various specialties.Since 1999 the Choir operates under the auspices of the West Pomeranian Regional Medical Chamber.
In the repertoire the ensemble has a capella songs, both sacral and secular from the Renaissance to the times contemporary.
The Remedium choir also participated in the performance of larger musical forms such as: Requiem, Mass in C minor, Mass in C major “Coronation” W. A. Mozart, Missa di Gloria by G. Puccini, Oratory “Creation of the World” and Missa Sancti Nicolai of J. Haydn, “Gloria” by A. Vivaldi, Requiem as well as Magnificat of J. Rutter, Completorium of G.G, Gorczycki, cantata “Mirjamsiegesgesang” of F. Schubert, cantata “Pour la vie” of M. Letz, Symphony No. IX of L. van Beethoven.
In 2003. the choir recorded the album “Adieu sweet Amaryllis “with works from the Renaissance and Romantic period, in 2007, together with the Pomeranian Medical University Choir CD “Credo” of H. Seroka.
REMEDIUM performs in and around Szczecin, also gave concerts in Olsztyn, Czeladź, Poznań, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Warsaw,Bremen, Berlin and Vilnius. In 2015 the choir took part in the International Choral Festivalin Venice and in 2016 in Lago di Garda.
In 2017 on The International Choir Festival in Międzyzdroje and in 2018 at the Festival “Canco Mediterrania” in Lloret de Mar and Barcelona REMEDIUM received silver diplomas.
For over a dozen years we have been cooperating with the choir of the Warmian-Masurian Medical Chamber and the TonArt choir from Bremen.
Remedium is a regular participant in Nationwide Festivals of Medical Choirs as well as National Concerts of Medical Choirs.
