The CHORUS INSIDE SARDEGNA Association, with the patronage of FEDERCORI, proposes again for the year 2021, the Training and Updating Masterclass for Choir Conductors and student Choir Conductors.
Conducting techniques, gestures, intonation and choral sound, vocality, rehearsal management, analysis of the score and execution, will be the topics on which the training course will be developed.
The Masterclass represents one of the most important training and refresher opportunities in the region.
The Masterclass is divided into 16 hours of work divided into 18 and 19 September (09:00 – 13:00 / 14:30 – 18:30); the lessons and exercises will take place both individually and collectively and the students will have the opportunity to take turns also in the direction of the laboratory choir with the performance of some pieces whose scores will be provided ten days before the start of the course.

As a conductor he carries out an impressive activity that, in addition to an intense presence in the programming of the most important regional symphonic institutions, over the years has seen him engaged with the main repertoire works on stages all over the world: from Boston to Beijing, from Mexico City to Toronto, from Miami to Dakar, from Caracas to Monterrey, passing of course through the main Italian and European cities, including Paris, Prague, Edinburgh, Kiev, Krakow, Stuttgart.
In this capacity he had the opportunity to collaborate with prestigious soloists, among whom we must certainly remember the singers Cecilia Gasdia, Carmela Remigio and Monica Bacelli, the violinist Pavel Berman, the First Viola of the Teatro alla Scala Danilo Rossi, the First Cello and the first oboe of the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia Luigi Piovano and Francesco di Rosa.
Among the orchestras conducted, the SBS Radio and Television Youth Symphony Orchestra of Sydney, the Symphony Orchestra B stand out. Maderna, the Silvestre Revueltas Symphony Orchestra, the Chernivetsk Philarmony Symphonic in Lviv, the Symphony Orchestra of China National Opera and Dance Drama Theatre, the Chamber Orchestra de Bellas Artes, the South Beach Chamber Ensemble in Miami, the Kalisz and Krakow Philharmonic Orchestras.
He was a frequent guest of the Pescara Symphony Orchestra, which he led on tours in Venezuela in 2006 and Canada in 2007.
From 2003 to 2008 he permanently led the Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the University G. D'Annunzio of Chieti and Pescara.
In 2004 he performed with the Ud'A choir and the Parkway Concert Orchestra of Boston in an acclaimed concert tour in Massachusetts (USA), broadcast worldwide by Raisat.
In addition to his activity as a conductor, he also has an equally prestigious presence in the world of chorality: founder and director of the Coro della Virgola and the Coro dell'Accademia, with whom he has made important productions in Italy and abroad and achieved significant results in the most famous competitions in the sector; former Chorus Master of the Pergolesi theatres in Jesi and Le Muse in Ancona.
In the last ten years he has collaborated intensively with the Cantiere Internazionale d'arte di Montepulciano.
Also attentive to teaching, Pasquale Veleno has been a teacher at the Conservatories of Fermo, Messina and Monopoli and currently teaches Choir Conducting at the Conservatory of Pescara and Choral Exercises at that of Matera.
He also regularly holds seminars and masterclasses for Barry University in Miami, Florida.
He is currently the President of the National Artistic Commission of the Federation of Italian Choirs Chorus Inside (FEDERCORI).
