"GREGORIAN CHANT IN CONTEMPORARY SACRED MUSIC FOR CHOIR"

The Masterclass is aimed at choir directors and aspirants who want to perfect the gestural technique, improve their vocals and learn about the music of contemporary composers who have drawn inspiration from Gregorian melodies and who have based their work on the ancient mode.
The authors studied will be the following: Domenico Bartolucci, Orlando Dipiazza, Giuseppe Mignemi, Gianmartino Durighello, Enrico Miaroma, Luigi Molfino, Maurice Duruflè and others.

A maximum of 10 actual students will be admitted while others will be able to participate as auditors. Participants will be issued a valid certificate for obtaining training credits.

He held the chair of General Musical Culture at the "Lorenzo Perosi" Conservatory of Campobasso, graduated in Organ, Sacred Composition and Choral Conducting at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music (P.The.M.S.) in Rome, where he also obtained a licentiate in Gregorian Chant.

He has participated in important national and international festivals and organ festivals (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Italy). As a composer, in addition to having written the Oratorio "Entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem" for soloists, choir and orchestra, he has written several compositions for choir and organ.

He is musical and artistic director of the Samnium Concentus choir of Campobasso.

In 1994 he won the national choral composition competition organized by the Piedmontese Choirs Association, while in 2006 he won the 10th Choral Composition Competition "Cantar Trieste" with the song "Il filo dell'autunno" for four female choir on a text by the Trieste poet Lina Galli.

He is a founding member of the Trade Association of Italian Choir Conductors.
