Biography

The Choir “Doina Nistrului” was founded in 1988, is a model, a multiple winner and holder of 1,2,3 places in different festivals, at the district, republican and international competitions level.
With a valuable artistic experience, approaching 30 years, the choir “Doina Nistrului” has accumulated many recordings.
The National Festival of Choral Music “Teodor Ţurcanu”, which is a festival started in honor of the late choir director “Doina Nistrului” Teodor Ţurcanu, who is now in the skies enjoying the continuity of the activity of “Doina Nistrului” Coral and his successes.
The successor of Mr. Turcanu, the current director of the choir is Mr. Ion Scutelnic, who with a lot of talent and mastery brings together over 35 members of the group.
The members of the group are young and old, people of various professions, but with the same love and passion for choral singing.
