The Pueri et Puellae Cantores Plocenses Choir was founded in 1998 by Anna and Wiktor Bramski as a boys’ choir at the Płock Cathedral. Currently, together with the girls’ choir, it constitutes a group of 100 children and youth aged 7 to 19 – a cultural institution in Płock. The choir took part in 40 competitions, in which it won over 80 awards. It represented Polish culture on four continents in 42 countries. It has performed, among others at the Grand Theater and the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the National Philharmonic in Lviv, Bangkok and Moscow, the Basilica of the Nations in Washington and the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Each year the choir takes part in several competitions. In 2018 in Spain, Singapore, Indonesia and Croatia, it won 9 gold medals in various categories and the Grand Prix (Catalonia); in 2019 – in Italy, Japan and Philippines, it won 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal. In 2020, the choir took part in the Concorso Corale Internazionale Christmas Inside Roma, where it won 3 gold medals and the title of champion. 2021 was another successful year for the choir. In Queen of the Adriatic Sea Choral Festival and Competition 2021, online edition (Queen2021online) – the choir won the Grand Prix and a gold medal in the up to 20 years category. In the 8th edition of the International Festival of Choral Music – „O ZŁOTĄ WSTĘGĘ SOLCZY” the choir won silver medal in the 16 to 21 category – bronze medal in the under 15 category. In Musica Orbis Prague Festival Online the choir won silver medal in the under 18 category. In Taipei International Choral Competition – gold medal in the children’s category – gold medal in the sacred music category. In The 10 th Bali International Choir Festival 2021 – online – gold medall – Champion of Category. In the 41 th International Competition Chorus Inside Advent – Roma 2021 – gold medal in the traditional music category, gold medal in the category of sacred / polyphonic music, gold medal in the category of folklore choreographica, gold medal in the Lyric music – Jubilate – Grand Prix in the scenic folclore category.
Pueri et Puellae Cantores Plocenses Choir participates also in the artistic life of the city – organizes two festivals: choral and organ. Every year it carries out a great musical work; in 2019 it was the Mass in G-Dur by F. Schubert, which was performed at the National Philharmonic in Kiev with the accompaniment of the Symphony Orchestra and in 2020 it was Requiem by W.A. Mozart.
For the 2022 the choir planned the performance of F. J. Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli C major; Te Deum Laudamus – F. J. Haydn in the Cathedral Basilica in Płock and in the Philharmonic Karol Szymanowski in Krakow.
