The junior choir “Scherzo” under the direction of Mamajanova Marina Vasilievna was formed in 2009 on the basis of the “Children’s School of Arts No. AND I. Panitsky, Balakovo. The ensemble’s repertoire includes the best examples of sacred and classical music, works by contemporary authors, arrangements of folk songs.
The choir conducts an active concert activity, shows consistently high results at competitions of various levels.
A bright event in the creative life of the team was participation in the VIII International Festival of Choral Art “Singing World” and in the VI International Competition of Choral Art. Y. Falika (St. Petersburg, 2010). The performance of the junior choir took place in cathedrals, concert halls of St. Petersburg. The successful performance of the team was marked by the jury members of the competition with the Diploma of the Laureate of the III Prize.
The choir is the Laureate of the 1st degree of the II Choir Assemblies “Golden Lights of Saratov” (2015), the Diploma of the 1st degree of the International Internet Competition “Naughty Spring” (Moscow, 2014), the Laureate of the II degree of the International Competition – Festival “Rainbow over Volga” (Naberezhnye Chelny, 2014). It should also be noted the bright performance of the team at the II International Competition – Festival “Spring Chimes” (Saratov, 2012), where the choir under the direction of Mamajanova M.V. became a 1st Degree Diploma. The choir group showed a high performing level at the IV and V at the open Provincial festival – the competition of academic choirs “Golden Lights of Saratov” (2009, 2011), becoming the Laureate of the II degree.
The team has repeatedly become the Laureate of the 1st degree of the Open Review – the competition of choirs for children’s music schools and children’s art schools “Musical Spring” (Volsk), participation in which has already become traditional.
