We can find written data on the functioning of ecclesiastical, civil and scholastic choirs in Komárom since the middle of the last century. Taking upon itself the cultural heritage of the city, the Csemadok Komáromi Alapszervezete (Organization of the Primary Party of Csemadok in Komárom) and the Komáromi Városi Muvelodési Központ (Municipal Cultural Center of Komárom) the mixed choir CONCORDIA was founded. We can find singers here from teachers to entrepreneurs, from engineers to officials through students who can sing with joy and happiness, and feel like a family organized by the excitement that precedes the performances – and they can also sing to the signal of the conductor.
This choir has been trying to popularize European choral music for almost 30 years creatively, continuously elevating it to a higher level.
The choir is in friendly relations with different communities, musical groups from the national regions and also from Hungary, Austria and Germany.
The CONCORDIA mixed choir is a Hungarian choir in Slovakia, although through the language of music it wants to address the whole of humanity.
