biography

The Polifònica Joia d’Alella was founded in May 1977 and last year we celebrated our first 40 years.
In our repertoire you will find everything from traditional Catalan song to international standards and film music, not to mention zarzuela, opera and jazz.
From the first year the Polifònica has been able to share its extensive repertoire with other choirs of the Catalan people and also has traveled to different places nationally and internationally
Within the cycle “Summer Festival of Alella”, he has participated in recent years with a series of concerts of which the last ones stand out, with the participation of the Taller de Músics de Barcelona, ​​performing a whole repertoire of Jazz and a film special and was accompanied by a video montage specific to the occasion.
Also every year, and on a charity basis, he sings to contribute to events such as the TV3 Marathon and various Social Centers.
The members of our choir are people of all ages and this makes our repertoire very varied, with what we want to have fun with and of course our audience to enjoy our performances.
