Academic Choir of Ivano-Frankivsk Music School named after DENIS SICHINSKY is an educational team where future cadres of professional choral art are formed. It dates back to 1940, when the first music institution was established in Stanislav. During many years of existence, the choir has repeatedly been a participant and winner of various festivals and competitions: the choir competition. D. Sichynsky, Christmas festival “Kolyada na Maizlyakh”, festival of sacred music “Up of the heart” (Ivano-Frankivsk), festival “Singing the canon” (Lviv), 10th Easter Assembly (Kyiv), competition of sacred music in Romania (Iasi), where he was twice awarded a diploma of second degree. At the 1st All-Ukrainian competition of young musicians “Frankove Pidhirya” in Drohobych he won the highest prize – the Grand Prix. 2018 – new victory at the I Open competition of vocalists and choirs named after S. Krushelnytska – winner of the first prize. The team is an indispensable participant in all celebrations of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

The academic choir was led by famous choirmasters, teachers of the school, such as: Andriy Stavnychy, Mykola Bilan, Mykhailo Tsapar, Bohdan Katamay, Hryhoriy Kernytsia, Mykhailo Mokretsky, Svitlana Shcherbiy, Khrystyna Kasko, Yarema Koval, Oksana Manelyuk.

Currently, the student group is headed by a graduate of the Odessa National Academy of Music. Antonina Nezhdanova (class of L. Butenko) Alina Mindyuk.
