The Dzvinochok Boys and Youth Choir, a folk art group, was founded in 1967 at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth. At the origins of the group stood an outstanding choirmaster, Professor Eleanor Vinogradov. Since 2001, Ruben Tolmachev has been the artistic director. Today, Dzvinochok is a choral school of about 150 singers aged 5 to 45. The band’s concert map stretches from Amsterdam to Guangzhou, and from Karelia to Yerevan. Every year the band gives about 25 concerts, carries out several concert tours. The band is the founder of International festivals and competitions. In recent years, the choir has recorded 6 CDs and, according to experts, is the best band in its genre in Eastern Europe.
Artistic director and conductor – Honored Artist of Ukraine Ruben Tolmachev, born in 1973, a graduate of NMAU named after P.I. Tchaikovsky.
