St John’s Schola Cantorum is an ensemble of eight singers, students and recent graduates of London’s conservatoires, music academies, and universities.
Their home is St John’s Church, at the very heart of Fulham, London.
The scholars perform a wide range of repertoire, interpreting the works of the great European masters of the classical, romantic, and modern age with an operatic flair, also enjoying exploring the medieval and plainchant sound world.
SJ Schola Cantorum have sung at a number of prestigious venues such as San Paolo fuori le Mura, Rome, Westminster Cathedral and the Mercers’ Hall, London, as well as being in demand for weddings and private receptions (Harry’s Bar; The George; Criterion Hotel).
They regularly sing in liturgical offices during the academic year, singing at Mass and Evensong every week.
The Scholars also take part in concerts, school workshops and charitable events, as well as organising choir tours and festivals across Europe and the UK.
