The Choir of the Koszalin University of Technology “Canzona” was established in January 2017, continuing the artistic activities and choral traditions of two groups: the Choir of the Koszalin University of Technology, founded in 1993 and the “Canzona” Choir of the 105 Cultural Center in Koszalin, existing since 1999. The conductor is Radosław Wilkiewicz, professor at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, leading the “Canzona” Choir since 2009. The members of the choir are students and graduates of the Koszalin University of Technology, as well as graduates of other national universities, representing various environments and professions. The repertoire of the group includes pieces ranging from early to contemporary music of a religious, secular and folk character, as well as negro spiritual, gospel, capoeira, jazz standards and popular music. For several years, the group has been cooperating with the Koszalin Philharmonic and the International Organ Festival in Koszalin, performing many vocal and instrumental works. He has received awards in choir competitions, incl. in Międzyzdroje, Łódź, Częstochowa, Toruń, Gdańsk, Gniezno and in Rimini and Gorizia in Italy.
