Biography

The choir was born about 9 years ago to animate the adoration that took place every Saturday evening in our Assoro, a town in the center of Sicily in the province of Enna. Initially the choir was formed by the boys of the oratory, this period of animating the adoration lasted about four years, then for the needs of the parish we were invited to animate every Sunday, in turn, one of the three Sunday masses celebrated in the village, in the meantime the choir has changed, there are no longer the boys of the oratory who little by little one at a time have abandoned, but in the meantime other people have taken over a little older.
Today the choir offers its contribution in the parish by animating the Holy Mass every Sunday, on holidays and when the opportunity arises as in moments of prayer or various celebrations. Although in a few, we are in 12 elements, with male and female voices, but we are quite musically equipped, obviously with the organ then the guitar, the flute and a percussion instrument. All of us in the choir are ordinary self-taught people, who thanks to the faith that unites us all, then who for the passion of music and who for the passion of singing, we put them together and do our best, everything is done with the heart but with great efforts and great sacrifices.
