Biography

The Interparish Choir Virgo Angelorum was born on December 28, 2002 on the occasion of the closing of the Pastoral Visit of the then Archbishop of Chieti-Vasto, today Cardinal, His Em.za Msgr. Edoardo Menichelli, to animate the Celebration that took place in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Miracles in Casalbordino. Don Davide Spinelli together with the organist, Maestro Alessandro Sabatini, thought of forming a choir composed of the choristers of the parish realities of the Pastoral area of Atessa. That event was beautiful and exciting and made us want not to make that experience remain an isolated case, but to continue together a permanent Choral journey. Since then our beautiful reality has begun, which continues and grows, sharing the joy of music, song and liturgical prayer. All this thanks to the masterful guidance of our master Don Davide Spinelli.

Our Choir mainly performs Sacred and Liturgical music; animates the celebrations on the occasion of Diaconal and Presbyteral Ordinations, to remember the Episcopal Ordination of Msgr. Luciano Suriani today Apostolic Nuncio in Serbia, in the Cathedral of San Giustino in Chieti. He performs concerts throughout the year. Every year the Choir makes a pilgrimage to a sacred place, especially Marian, as a day of retreat and sharing.
