The Diocesan Choir was established in 1992 on the occasion of the visit to Caserta of Pope John Paul II, strongly desired by the Conductor of the Liturgical Office of the Diocese of Caserta Don Claudio Nutrito. He regularly carries out the liturgical service in the Cathedral of Caserta on the occasion of the solemn celebrations officiated by the Bishop. Since 2001 the Choir has been entrusted to the Direction of Maestro Rosario Messina who has embarked on a completely new and professional path not only for the care of the voices (normally volunteer people who do not know the music but animated by a strong religious sense and passionate about music) but above all for the creation of new songs and different adaptations and arrangements for choir and various instrumental ensembles. The Choir has performed several concerts of Classical Music participating in important events including the performance of the Oratory "Apostle of the Gentiles" by Monsignor Marco Frisina, in the presence and with the direction of the author, receiving flattering and unanimous acclaim from the public and critics, thanks above all to the constitution of an occasional choir of 100 choristers resulting from the union of the Stable Choral with other Casertane choirs and a symphony orchestra called "La La new Aurora" formed by masters from different locations in the Campania region, all with the concertation and musical organization of Maestro Rosario Messina. He also participated in the musical animations of celebrations live on television for Rai 1 and Network 4 Mediaset. The organ accompaniment of the choir is entrusted to Maestro Antonio Izzo. On July 26, 2014, for the coming of Pope Francis to Caserta with the Diocesan Choir, other choirs from the main parishes of Caserta joined together to form a choir of 250 elements, accompanied by a specially constituted orchestra.
In March 2017, the choir participated in the First Diocesan Conference of Sacred Music and Singing entitled "One bread, one body! The assembly sings the mystery", with the participation of the Rev.
