The Fonte Vetica Choral Association was founded in 1984 with the aim of promoting the research and dissemination of the Abruzzo folk repertoire and later expanded its repertoire with pieces of sacred and profane polyphony, also performing with orchestral formations in concerts and polyphonic music festivals. Over the years he has participated in numerous regional, national and international events and exhibitions (including the Advent Festival in Vienna, the Polyphonic Competition City of Prague, the Spring Festival in Catalonia in Barcelona, the Galicia Choral Music Festival and the “Singing in the Mountain” Festival in Wolfsberg), he participated in the recording of a documentary on the Holy Shroud (presented at the Philadelphia Festival) and together with other choirs of Abruzzo he has recorded some unpublished songs that are part of a double CD entitled “Il Canto Corale”, sponsored by the Ministry for Cultural and Environmental Heritage. In January 2011 he collaborated with the singer Giò di Tonno in the recording of the choral finale of two of his songs and in the same year he recorded a CD of folk songs entitled “Ci stave ‘na vote”. Among the activities promoted by the Association aimed at the dissemination of choral music is the review “On the Wings of Bel Canto”, now in its sixteenth edition, which saw the participation of choral groups from Italy and abroad. Accordionist Barbara Cardelli accompanies the choir.
