Biography

Le Bourdon du Ru Herbal is a cultural association that wants to spread the pleasure of ancient and cultured music. Mixed choir, that is composed of male and female sections, collects choristers of varying ages, from just under 18 years up to 70 years. Most of the songs are performed by all sections, which can in turn be further subdivided to increase the number of voices. However, there is no shortage of songs specially elaborated and interpreted only by men, or by women.

Some pieces are enriched with instrumental parts, often performed by the singers themselves. The instruments are chosen respecting the nature and historical origins of the song. We find the instrumental parts especially in the liturgical pieces since they are written for small orchestra and choir.
