The Diocesan Polyphonic Choir “Don Giuseppe Marinelli” was founded by Msgr. Alfredo Zuccatosta and established on the occasion of the 62nd National Liturgical Week held in Fabriano in 2010, directed by Maestro Giuseppe Papaleo, who oversaw the performances of the pieces for the Celebrations.
Giuseppe Papaleo graduated in Piano at the Conservatory “G. Rossini” of Pesaro under the direction of Maestro Giuseppe Di Chiara.
He participated in the specialization course “The choir in the liturgy” under the guidance of Maestro Mons. V. Donella.
He graduated in Arts, Music and Performing Arts at the University of Calabria and a Master’s Degree in Musicology and Musical Heritage at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome. He completed the studies of the Pre-Academic course of Organ and Organ Composition at the conservatory “F. Morlacchi” of Perugia in the class of Maestro Luca Scandali. He attended the philosophical two-year course at the Istituto Teologico Marchigiano in Ancona.
He has a long experience of choral music, first as a singer and organist, then as director of the polyphonic choral association “Exultate Deo” of Mammola of which he is also artistic director, and of the parish polyphonic choir “Iubilate Deo” of Monasterace, of which he is founder.
He also attended, in the two-year period 1998-2000, the diocesan liturgical-musical school for animators.
On the occasion of the second exhibition for polyphonic choirs, held in Melito Porto Salvo and organized by the Musa 2000 ONLUS Association, he obtained flattering awards for the technique of
