The Vohes de Onne choir association began its activity in September 2009 with a group of folk music and song enthusiasts who came together to form a polyphonic choir.

After about a year of activity, the choir was established as a cultural association with the approval by the members of the deed of incorporation and the statute on January 2, 2011, then registered with the revenue agency in November 2011.

The activities carried out so far are all related to the research of Sardinian folk music and songs and in particular those related to the community of Fonni.

This research and its study follow two distinct strands: the sacred songs of popular culture and popular songs and music in general.

The activities organized to date by the Vohes de Onne choir are as follows:

• on March 27, 2010 organization of a concert of sacred songs for Easter with the participation of the choir “Su Veranu di Fonni”, choir Bachis Sulis of Aritzo, male choir Priamo Gallisay of Nuoro
• December 11, 2010 in collaboration with the choir Su veranu of Fonni organization of the Christmas concert on the occasion of the event Cortes Apertas with the participation of the choirs Padentes of Desulo, San Sebastiano di Teti, Priamo Gallisay female of Nuoro
• 05 August 2011 in collaboration with the AVIS section of Fonni the concert “Music and Solidarity” with the participation of the choir of Siniscola and the Cuncordu Gennargentu of Fonni
• On November 30, 2011 a workshop for the dissemination of popular music in collaboration with the comprehensive institute of Fonni, the Association Diapason of Nuoro and musicians of the Conservatory of Cagliari
• December 10, 2011 . on the occasion of the event cortes apertas presentation of the CD “COCCIOS”, which is a work in which all the variants of the Gosos sung in Fonni on the occasion of Holy Week and the numerous sacred functions related to the saints are proposed. This work was carried out with the collaboration of the cultural association “Proposta” and with the participation of the female choir of Fonni “Su Veranu”, the parish choir Of St. John and the tenor Sos Battor Moros.
