Biography

On January 7, 2012 some Alpini of Montenerodomo, together with the parish priest Maestro Don Simone Calabria, animated by good will and the spirit that distinguishes all the Alpini, to pass on to the younger generations the bloody history lived during the two world wars, organized an evening of alpine songs and… traditional Abbruzzesi. From that evening the choral experience of the Alpine Choir of Montenerodomo has followed its evolution by establishing itself with the name of Alpine Choir “Voci della Maiella”. The Choir has performed in several choral events: Roccaraso, Montenerodomo, Pizzoferrato, Lama dei Peligni, Gissi. The Choir “Voci della Maiella” offers songs dedicated to the preservation of historical memory, they are representative songs both of the figure of the Alpine, and of the caring will that identifies the Alpini in being a spokesman for their children and grandchildren, of the experience lived on the front, as well as the praise to our land, the land of Abruzzo. The credo of the Choir “Voices of the Maiella” is: “We sing so that the traditions of our people, our Alpini and our land remain firm and unchanging”. To the instruments Christian Nero and Matteo Nero, directs the maestro Don Simone Calabria Among the members of the Choir “Voci della Maiella” the vice president of the Abruzzi section seventh zone, Mr. Antonio Rossi.
