Biography

The Choir "S. Maria delle Grazie a Capodimonte" was born for the service and proclamation of the Word of God through the universal language of music and song, a universal means of catechesis and the highest expression of the human heart.
The charism of the Choir consists in making people discover or rediscover the joy of prayer through music and song, helping to live the Eucharistic celebration as the most important moment in the personal and community life of the believer. Through what is his charism, the life of the Choir wants to propose the presence of Christ as the only true response to the profound needs of human life.
The mission of the Choir is linked first and foremost to the way of living and witnessing to the Christian message among the members of the Choir themselves. It is therefore hoped that every chorister will feel the Choir not only as a place of musical experience but as an opportunity for spiritual and human growth. It is therefore necessary that he be open to acceptance especially towards new entrants who will have to be helped not only musically, but above all humanly and spiritually. Likewise, the new elements that the Choir annually welcomes must have the awareness of being animated exclusively by the desire to sing together Praises to the Lord, with commitment, profound humility and a spirit of service.
The choir was born with the aim of animating the liturgies in which it is called to participate, for the glory of God and the edification of the brothers and sisters and everyone can be part of it.
It has as its logistical headquarters the Parish of S. Maria delle Grazie in Capodimonte and its priority objective is to establish a climate of harmony and collaboration among all its members and among the members of other choirs.
