The motto of the Choir is: “We educate with Music to prepare man to face life”.
The music-theatrical association Pentakàris every year supports and promotes initiatives in favor of the most needy by placing Music as the protagonist of a fraternal union and a means to bring young people closer to the social.
Bruno Tirotta (1955) studied oboe and singing in Reggio Calabria, composition in Naples and perfected himself in Vienna obtaining a diploma in conducting at the Wiener Meisterkurse für Dirigenten, studying with Julius Kalmar. He has conducted orchestras throughout Italy and received numerous awards and cultural awards, as well as public and critical acclaim in important national newspapers and specialized magazines. Since 1984 he has directed the “Francesco Cilea” Choir of Reggio Calabria. He is the musical director of the Musico-Theatrical Cultural Association “Pentakàris”, very active in the enhancement of Calabrian musicians and in musical and cultural activity in general. With her he directed many compositions in world premiere. He teaches in the two-year second level enabling the training of teachers at the Conservatory of Music “Francesco Cilea” of Reggio Calabria.
