A choral group formed by over 30 choristers, formed with the enthusiasm to “sing together in joy”… and it is precisely this joyful spirit that, together with the interpretation of the famous piece by Georg Friedrich Haendel, Canticorum Jubilo, gave the inspiration for the chosen name.
The Choir, although specialized in the performance of sacred music, offers a rich repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to the great symphonic compositions of the 800, up to compositions by contemporary authors. He has in his repertoire pieces by: Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Cherubini, of which he performed the “Requiem in C minor”. The Choir had the privilege of singing in the presence of the President of the Republic and His Holiness John Paul II. Every year he organizes in Rome the International Festival “Cori sull’Aventino” Cori per l’Europa – Cori per la Pace.
The Choir is directed by Maestro Paolo Tagliaferri, Titular Organist of the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and first organist at the Church of Santa Maria ai Monti in Rome.
