Biography

Schola Cantorum at the… massimo was founded in 1995 as a school choir, founding director Cristina Bortolato Since 2001 it has become an associative choir of children’s voices and since 2014 it has been an integral part of the Choral Association I fiori Musicali di Roma.

It consists of 25 children and young people from 8 to 13 years
2002 : First prize in the Competition “..Sound’s good school” in Rome
2002 : invited to participate in the concert of the Piccolo Coro del Comune di Roma held on June 2 in Piazza di Siena
2003 : realizes the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar staged at the Auditorium del Massimo
2003 : RECORDING of the CD of the rock opera JCS
2004 : participates in the national review for school choirs and the National Festival for youth choirs of Vittorio Veneto receiving flattering appreciation from the jury
2004 : I° prize the children’s choir and I° prize ex aequo l’ensemle giovanile at the competition “Scuola Sound’s good” in Rome and concert of the winners held in the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium of the Parco della Musica in Rome
2005 : II° prize at the I° European Competition S.Benedict of Norcia
2005 : Fascia d’oro ( 94/100 ) at the XVI Regional Choral Competition ” E.Macchi” organized by ARCL (ass.reg.cori del Lazio )
2005/06: Concert as part of the “European Music Festival” under the patronage of the Region and the Municipality of Rome
2006: Fascia d’oro (96/100) Concorso Corale Regionale ” E.Stains”
