The choir of San Germano takes its name, at the behest of the parish priest Don Alvise Lanteri, from the ancient
oratory dedicated precisely to the bishop of the fourth century San Germano, of which we currently find
in the baptistery the paintings that represent episodes of life.
The parish choir is composed of about thirty elements and three musicians who animate the liturgy
Sunday.
The repertoire ranges from songs suitable for children's Sunday Mass (authors Gen, Spoladore, Ricci
and others) to more classical songs of the repertoire of the national liturgical office, to some passages of the
Gregorian repertoire.
The choir is also a place of aggregation, where human relationships are solidified and friendships are created.
In fact, the founding characteristics of the choir of San Germano want to be the openness and
welcoming all those who wish to serve the liturgy in song.
In recent years the choir has also engaged in the animation of some important celebrations
for our diocese, animating for four years the final Mass of the International Festival
of Christian music Jubil Music, the Diocesan Vigil of Pentecost and the most important liturgies
presided over by the diocesan Bishop.
