Vocal ensemble composed of only female voices, "La Corale" is a cultural association founded in 1991 in Siurgus Donigala with the aim of disseminating and promoting Music, with particular attention to what are the culture and traditions of their country. Eclecticism and versatility are among the characteristics that make his repertoire range from pop to gospel, from Renaissance to modern music.
The group has two CDs to its credit, the second of which contains three original pieces in Sardinian written by the poet of Siurgus Donigala Marco Perra and set to music by the director and trainer Felice Cassinelli.
Since 1998 it has organized the National Music Competition "Gavino Gabriel" reserved for children of Primary Schools, Traditional and Musical Secondary Schools, Civic Schools and Recognized School Projects.
In many years of activity La Corale has distinguished itself in the social field, participating in all the initiatives promoted by the San Michele hospital in Cagliari for the fight against cystic fibrosis, by ADMO, by Telethon and by Trenta Ore Per La Vita. In particular, as part of the "Clinic Music", he participated in various events with the group "Non solo Ippocrate" performing in important stages including the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (8 May 2004 and 9 June 2005), Teatro Comunale di Oristano (28 January 2004), Piazzale del Convento dei Cappuccini in Bosa (3 July 2004).
In 2008 he dedicated a tribute to Andrea Parodi on the occasion of the Concert of the Carabinieri Musical Band at the Roman Amphitheater of Cagliari.
In 2009 he took part in the International Festival of Contemporary Music "La Biennale" in Venice in the realization of the incidental music for euripides' Bacchae, staged at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, at the Teatro Verdi in Padua and at the Teatro Goldoni in Venice.
In the same year she performed alongside Milva, in the staging of "La variante di Luneburg" at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari, selling out all five performances.
In July 2011 he gave four concerts in Barcelona (La Boqueria, Church of Santa Maria del Pì, Las Ramblas and Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat).
Since 2012 they have been carrying out a project entitled "Andira" in collaboration with the actress and director Grazia Dentoni and the Male Choir of the Sacred Rosary, presented in prestigious places including the Parco dei Suoni of Riola Sardo and the Nuraghe Arrubiu of Orroli. Andira is a sung narrative that moves between history and mythology. It is the story of the creation of the world focused on the birth of Sardinia where God delegates the Word to the female figure to offer existence to the elements. The sung lyrics are in the Logudorese, Nuorese and Campidanese variants.
In 2014 she won the First Prize "Vadore Sini" in the III Edition of the Choral Competition of Popular Songs in Sardinian Language of Sarule (NU) with the song written by Maestro Felice Cassinelli A Sas Theracas Pro S'Unire in Lega.
In 2017 she won the First Prize "Donne InCanto" in the first edition of the Regional Competition for Female Choirs of Oristano, presenting two songs: Tu-Su'-E, an unpublished composition written by Maestro Felice Cassinelli, with which they also obtained a Mention as Best Unpublished Composition, and A Diosa, better known as No Potho Reposare.
Also in 2017 she won the First Prize "Nuoro Patria dei Cori" – Women's Section – in the II Edition of the Choral Competition "A Manu Tenta" (Memorial Bobore Nuvoli) of Nuoro with the song S'Abba, a song composed by Maestro Felice Cassinelli, whose words written by Marshal Angelo Farris.
In March 2018 he participated in the event "Pasqua al Businco 2018" singing for the patients of the Oncological Hospital of Cagliari.
In May 2018 he held a Concert for the Celebrations in honor of Sant'Efisio in the church of Cagliari dedicated to him.
In October 2018 she won the First Prize "Nuoro Patria dei Cori" – Women's Section – in the III Edition of the Choral Competition "A Manu Tenta" (Memorial Bobore Nuvoli) of Nuoro with the song "In Cali Sida", whose text was written by the poet Anna Cristina Serra set to music by Maestro Felice Cassinelli.
From 2019 it organizes the 1st Sardinian Vocal Music Competition "Il Canto, la Voce di un Popolo", named after the scholar and writer Raimondo Demuro, aimed at singers, songwriters and performers, whether they are individuals or vocal groups.
