Biography

The Choral Group was born in the autumn of 1980 from the confluence of voices from choral initiatives existing in the two neighboring municipalities: Tarzo and Revine-Lago.

Taking up the tradition of “bel canto”, always alive and well rooted in our countries, the Choir aims to recover and pass on songs of a popular and religious nature, without neglecting what is new in the field of chorality.

In its thirty years of activity the choir has performed in many festivals and concerts locally, nationally and abroad. Every year it organizes the Choral Singing Festival and collaborates with the Municipalities and the Pro Loco for the organization of events and concerts.

In order to raise awareness and encourage participation in choral activities, the Choir organized in 2000 a specific course of choral education.

From 2001 to 2015 the choir was directed by the teacher Nadia Steffenino, in this period the Corale dei Laghi deepens the art of singing, taking care in particular of the basic techniques, both vocal and interpretative. He began a challenging journey that, without abandoning the tradition of popular singing, started him to face new themes bringing him to interpretations, even in language, of famous pieces of light and classical music.

Since September 2015 the choir is directed by Maestro Pierangelo Callesella

The Choir is part of the committee “International Festival of Music and Dance that hosts in the centers of the Left Piave performances of musical and folk groups from all over the world.

In 2004, on the threshold of 25 years of activity and to consolidate the preparation achieved, he recorded his first CD: “Corale Incanto”.

The Corale dei Laghi Group is sponsored by the Banca di Credito Cooperativo delle Prealpi which, sensitive to the association and cultural initiatives of the territory, has always contributed decisively to the financial support of its activities.
