Biography

The Interparish Choir Jesus Christ is based in Trapani and was founded in 2003. It unites volunteer and non-professional choristers belonging to the parishes of the Diocese of Trapani and works to animate liturgies, in particular for concerts of evangelization, at the service of the territory and ecclesial communities. It is composed of about 25 elements, each with a Catholic journey and therefore with a good sense of solidarity and service. This explains why initiatives involving the choir are always welcomed with a simple yes. The choir concretizes through "concert projects", with a spirit of evangelization and catechesis, an average of 45 concerts a year embedded, often with sacrifices, in the normal work and family activity of each of the components. The activity is carried out completely free of charge and, if there is a spontaneous collection of money, it is donated to charity. Concerts are also held at places of suffering (prisons, hospitals, geriatric institutions, orphanages, etc.). and at diocesan parishes. Through Christian voluntary organizations and social mission organizations, concerts are also held in different theaters and places with the specific aim of raising funds for the needy and the poor also in Spirit. And since the latter – alas – are many, the choir never spares itself … and to those who ask for her service she continues to answer: YES.
