The Civic Choir "Marini Boni" of Viadana was formed in 2003, as a natural evolution of the experiences of a group of amateurs, with previous practices in choirs, parish and not, active in the area.
The transformation into an Association coincided with a qualitative leap because since 2003 the choir has been active in the Lodovician Festival participating in the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007 editions and in the concerts of the Serassi Organization "Music around the river" (from 2007 to 2012). The Choir participated in the first performance, in modern times, of the Requiem by Andrea Luchesi recorded for the Tactus record company and in several recordings edited by the Lodoviciano Festival in the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007 editions. In May 2008 he was invited to the inaugural concert of the XXV edition of the Claudio Monteverdi Festival in Cremona, speaking at the performance of the Solemn Vespers for Pentecost with the "Psalms at 4 Chori op. XXVII by Lodovico Grossi from Viadana.
The Choir has been appreciated in numerous musical and theatrical events held in the municipality of Viadana, in the neighboring territories and also in Milan, Venice, Verona and Cremona. In the last period the Choir has dedicated itself to the study and deepening of the Renaissance polyphonic repertoire but has also participated in concerts with orchestra performing in the Dixit Dominus RV 594, in the Gloria RV 589 and in the Magnificat RV 610 of A. Vivaldi, in the Cantata "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme" BWV 140 by J. S. Bach, in the Great Mass in E flat D 950 by F. Schubert, in the Fantasia Corale op 80 by L. v. Beethoven, in the Requiem of G. Fauré and G. Verdi, in the Coronation Mass K 317 and in the Solemn Vespers of the Confessor K 339 of W. A. Mozart. Currently it consists of 40 elements and is directed by Maestro Marino Cavalca.
