The Schola Cantorum Santa Maria della Quercia was founded in 1936 by the will of the then parish priest Monsignor Sante Bagnaia.
The Schola, the name by which the choir is cordially called, is currently directed by Maestra Laura Scarponi; in addition to the liturgical service in the events that take place at the Sanctuary, he organizes important musical meetings and participates in concerts and events.
Over the years there have been countless presences in musical initiatives; just to mention the latest in order of time, we remember the four concerts organized in 2016 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the choir and that of 2017 on the occasion of the VI (sixth) centenary of the Madonna della Quercia and 550th anniversary of the Pact of Love. Thanks to the commitment of President Paolo Fratoni and Maestra Scarponi, the Schola gathered, in the Sanctuary, six choirs, as well as soloists and orchestra, to perform the Gloria RV 589 by Antonio Vivaldi, receiving the appreciation of the participants and confirming its particular devotion to the Mother of Jesus.
In November 2018 we had the honor of animating the Sunday Mass broadcast on Rai.
In this last period we regularly serve during the Sunday liturgy.
