The Vocal Group "Chanson d'Aube" is a mixed choral group of chamber music. Founded in 1987 by Alberto Odone, it has to its credit over three hundred concerts in Italy (Soprintendenza ai beni Ambientali ed Architettonici della Lombardia, Serate Musicali di Milano, Politecnico di Milano, Università Bocconi, Associazione Musicale Milanese, Fondo Ambiente Italiano, U.N.The.C.And.F, Humanitarian Society of Milan) and abroad (Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Romania).
He has won first prize in several national competitions, both for the classical genre and for the spiritual and swing genre.
His activity of study and concert performance is aimed at three main areas of interest. The sacred and profane Renaissance polyphony, with the preparation among other things of a program of music and poetry dedicated to the Milan of the Sforza and Leonardo. The repertoire of the early Baroque, performed with the accompaniment of period instruments, with the rediscovery of unpublished masterpieces. The Italian swing repertoire, of which the group presents appreciated original arrangements. The Chanson d'Aube Vocal Group celebrates thirty years of activity in 2017.
Alberto Odone is choir director and deals with the teaching of music listening, also through an intense activity of free teaching, with over 100 courses held in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and Latvia, as well as at numerous Italian institutions.
He is a professor at the Conservatory "G. Verdi" in Milan and at the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato "G. Puccini" of Gallarate and previously at the Conservatory of Como, where he designed and inaugurated, after ten years of experimentation, the courses of Ear Training and Basic Musical Training according to innovative methodologies.
Graduated in Choral Conducting at the Conservatory of Milan, he attended specialization courses in Italy with M. Bordignon, B. Streito (Four-year Civic Course school of Music in Milan), J. Jürgens, G. Schmidt-Gaden; in France, with O. Messiaen and Ch. Prost (Contemporary Repertoire) and at the Centre d'Etudes Poliphoniques et Chorales de Paris.
He has given over 400 concerts as a choir conductor in Italy, Switzerland, czech republic, Hungary and Spain. He founded in 1987 and directs the Vocal Group Chanson d'Aube in Milan. He has published articles and manuals on vocal reading and intonation and transcriptions of unpublished vocal music.
