Biography

The choir “Francesco D’Urbano” was born from the Proloco of Fara Filiorum Petri in January 2013. It is a young choir made up of young people, which aims to bring back to the knowledge of the public the music of its territory written by Maestro Francesco D’Urbano (1920-1967), as well as the most famous of the Abruzzo folk scene. For some years the singing group has been directed by the homonymous master who is trying to insert and disseminate new author’s compositions inspired by popular tradition, in order to preserve and relaunch our regional culture through the new generations and music.
