The choir of the Community of Italians of Pola was born in October 2013 with the name of “Carillon”.
Its main purpose was, and still is, to unite people who love singing and positive energies through the international and timeless language of music. The choir is made up of both professional voices and amateur singers. Since its foundation it has been led by teacher Irena Vladisavljević.
Over time it has become an inexhaustible source of fun and emotions by participating in the most important evenings of the Community of Italians in Pola, performing however also outside its walls.
The Carillon choir has participated in numerous international choir reviews in Pula and Poreč, in charity concerts, in various festivals in Izola and Grožnjan as well as in many other towns in Istria.
Since 2015, the choir has been organizing the annual “IncontriamoCI cantando” choral festival at the Pola Community. On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Carillon choir, their first CD, called “Carosello Polesan”, was released.
The choir’s repertoire is now vast and includes songs of medieval music, contemporary music, classical and traditional pieces, with texts in Italian (and its dialects), French, Polish and even Finnish.
