THE TRINITY CHORALE is a privately run choral group based in Lagos, Nigeria. Founded in April 2014 with the aim of promoting the appreciation of choral music and quality choral singing among young people towards edification and for peace and community progress; the goal of the Choir was to realize musical performances (of choral works by Nigerian and foreign composers) of a sufficiently high level for local and international consumption.
The Choir performs a wide range of repertoire of sacred, profane choral, seasonal, classical, contemporary and popular music in an annual series of concerts as well as performances for various charities and community organizations in Lagos, Asaba, Ibadan and Abuja. It also provides choral/musical services for the private public and occasions such as weddings, birthdays, home/dedication openings, funerals, AGM/lunches and end-of-year events.
The general repertoire of the choir includes Motets and Madrigals; Christmas carols of various eras and nationalities; unaccompanied choral music (A capella) of all periods from the fifteenth century to the present day; Spirituals “Negro” arranged by African and American composers; African folk songs and arrangements of Nigerian folk songs from all over the country, as well as original works by Nigerian composers.

In the few years since its foundation, the Chorale has grown in reputation and has become a reference point for good choral music among practitioners and fans of classical choral music, as it is considered one of the best and most sophisticated choral groups in the country!
Nnamdi John Amadi, founder and director of trinity Chorale, is a highly experienced and award-winning church musician with over 25 years of choral singing experience. Graduated in Creative Arts from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, Nnamdi studied choral practice and conducting with the legendary HRH Igwe Prof. Laz EN Ekwueme IV.
He was General Director of the Choir of the Parish of St. Dominic, Yaba -Lagos from 2006 to 2012, a period during which he led the parish choir to the victory of the Archdiocesan Choral Competitions of Lagos (2008) and successfully defended the title at the 2011 edition of the same competitions. In recognition of his commitment and passion for quality choral singing, he was appointed in 2012 General Director of the Choir of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Choir, in Lagos State, by the CAN State ExCo under the leadership of Rev. Msgr. Bernard Okodua and Archbishop George Amun, a position he held until April 2018. He was also general kapellmeister of the Catholic Archdiocesan Choir of Lagos from April 2013 to August 2016.
