The San Giuseppe Polyphonic Choir was born in Acri in the province of Cosenza, in 1997, on the initiative of the masters Salvatore Reale and Giusto D’Auria, the latter was its singing teacher and director until 2018, the year in which he left the direction to his colleague Salvatore Reale (who among the various academic titles obtained a diploma in Choral Music and Choral Conducting at the Conservatory of Cosenza).
In 1999 the Cultural Association Coro Polifonico San Giuseppe was established, which in the almost 25 years of life, has carried out a constant concert activity but above all of specialization in the liturgical field, becoming the main choir of the imposing Basilica Minore of Sant’Angelo in Acri.
