Biography

The Choir was formed in 1979 by the will of Maestro Lorenzo Giacopini.
A love strongly reciprocated by the choristers who in this beautiful strip of life have shared with the master many moments together. A middle school teacher, Giacopini was sent from the plain to teach mathematics in Sant’Anna and it was in Ceredo that he “found” the inspiration to give life to a choir to make known songs and arias of a past time of Lessinia.
The rich repertoire of the Choir is formed by simple melodies, rich in feelings, stories and popular fantasy put together with harmony, a work that is the result of an infinite and constant passion, to safeguard a part of mountain and peasant culture.
All this research has been collected in a valuable book, because, says Giacopini, the musical notes if you do not stop them on the score fly and are lost in infinity.
Ceredo on the occasion of this goal of fidelity and for the 80 years of the master wanted to say thank you with a party in the square, dedicated entirely to him.
Aware of not being eternal and always dynamic, Maestro Giacopini expressed the desire to be supported in the management of the choir and with tact and intelligence began a new path with Giuseppe Ferrari, a chorister of the group.
