The Giovanni Andrea Angelini Bontempi Polyphonic Choir of Brufa (Pg) directed by Alessandro Zucchetti was founded in October 2003 and was formed into a Musical Association with the aim of promoting choral culture in the area.
In August 2004 on the occasion of the event “Brufa in Festa” and “Scultori a Brufa”, he gave life to the first “Rassegna Corale Brufa in Festa”. In recent years the event has attracted polyphonic choirs from all over Umbria and beyond, who have performed with enormous success in songs ranging from the Sacred to the Profane. In December 2008, together with the polyphonic choir “Ponte Valleceppi e Civitas Arnae” he performed the Gloria e il Credo in the Church of S. Ermete di Brufa, Basilica di San Pietro in Perugia, Church of S. Pietro in Gubbio, S. Bartolomeo in Torgiano.
Subsequently, on January 25, 2009, on the occasion of the liturgical anniversary of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle, he performed Apostle to the Gentiles of Mons.M. Frisina in Torgiano (Perugia).
He was invited to participate in the opening concert of the TusciaOperaFestival in Viterbo (July 09) together with other formations from Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio in the most famous choirs of the Lyric repertoire.
In August 2012 he was the promoter of the Great Vocal and Instrumental Concert performing in the splendid Sculpture Park of Brufa famous opera choirs together with other Umbrian choirs and accompanied by the Corciano Festival Orchestra for a total of 160 performers.
Together with the Novum Convium Musicum Choir of Rome in December 2012 he performed the Gloria Rv 589 and Magnificat of A. Vivaldi and in April 2013 the Requiem Mass by G. Green. In August 2013 he performed on the occasion of the inauguration of Brufa in Festa & Scultori in Brufa, Carmina Burana di C. Orff together with other choral formations directed by Antonio Pantaneschi. In the 3rd edition of the Great Vocal and Instrumental Concert (August 2014) the most famous opera choirs were performed accompanied by the Wind Orchestra of the Upper Tiber Valley. In August 2015, the 4th edition of the Great Vocal and Instrumental Concert performed Misa Criolla by A. Ramirez, tenor Frà Alessandro Brustenghi and the choirs of La Traviata and Rigoletto (2016 and 2017). In 2019 he performs together with other Umbrian choirs (VocidUmbria) the Oratorio de Noel by C. Saint Saens.
In addition to participating in the various choral festivals, the choir accompanies with Sacred songs the most important events of the liturgical year and arrangements of gospel and Pop songs.
