Biography

Formed in the autumn of 1984, continuing in the tradition of the pre-existing “Schola Cantorum” founded in 1960 by Don Geminiano Dallari and subsequently directed by Dr. Guerrino Spallone, the Choir has always accompanied the most important religious functions of the parish and the surrounding areas.
He has given concerts since 1988, on the occasion of the Marian year and has performed in Modena in front of the Holy Father.
He participated in the First Festival of Parish Choirs of Baggiovara (Mo) in October of ’97; he was a finalist at the Regional Competition held in the Cathedral of Modena on November 22nd, ’98.
He collaborated with the group “Fiati musica aperta” of Bergamo directed by M° P. Cattaneo for the preparation of the 10th Christmas Concert in Finale Emilia on December 23rd ’98.
Acting as a Choir-laboratory, during the 1998/1999 session he collaborated with the Diocesan Institute of Sacred Music of the Archdiocese of Modena-Nonantola for the course of Specialization of choir conducting held by Maestro Giovanni Barzaghi (Maestro di Cappella del Duomo di Monza and professor at the Conservatory of Milan and Parma), participating in various concerts directed by the students.
