Biography

The Folk Group Li Muscatasce was founded in 2013 in Pignola, a village in the province of Potenza in Basilicata thanks to the initiative of a group resident in the country, passionate about popular traditions especially those concerning our region. The name of the group Li Muscatasce, or “the fireflies”, represents the light that each member transmits through joy and fun at each show. The group supported by the Hello Mondo association organizes every year in August the event “The colors of Folklore” where numerous groups from the rest of the world participate. Thanks to these initiatives, we promote social inclusion and brotherhood among peoples through songs and dances.
