Biography

The choir was formed in 2017 as a significant group within the community of Prizzi with the task of animating the liturgical celebrations with song, according to the principles of the conciliar documents and, in particular, of the conciliar Constitution “Sacrosanctum Concilium”, of the Instruction “Musicam Sacram” and of the diocesan Synod, in the awareness that its activity must be exemplary for all the faithful and for any other groups that in the parish collaborate in the animation Liturgical.
Another task of the choir is to spread and pass on the sacred and popular music, with
particular regard to the traditional songs in use in the parish.
The Choir also wants to act as a “cultural subject” in the wider field
of the cultural associations of the City by promoting choral concerts, meeting and opening up to experiences of knowledge and friendship with other choirs.
