The choir began its activity in September 2005.
It arose to help give greater solemnity to the celebrations of the strong times of the liturgical year, Christmas, Easter and the patronal feast of St. Anthony of Padua, as well as st. Flavian, adding the celebration of the sacrament of confirmation in the presence of the Bishop and the feast of the Immaculate Conception.
The Choir was completed, for polyphony with other male voices, with the arrival of a group of couples of parents of
children from the kindergarten who sang under the guidance of Sister Maria Anna Granata. The reality of the choir in a short time has attracted the attention of the citizens who, at first intrigued, immediately showed that they liked the initiative and appreciated its qualities. The current staff is made up of about 30 elements from the most varied social conditions, from professionals to housewives and students and is strongly motivated by the Love for bel canto and the joy of being together, despite real difficulties that require commitment and spirit of sacrifice and adaptation to each one. Maestro concertatore and Conductor is Francesco Terzano, who has availed himself in these 4 years of the precious collaboration of the organists Angelica Quiquero, who attended the Music Academy of S. Croce di M. and who was the first organist who accompanied us in this experience, now a university student; Pasquale Vitulli, a talented boy perhaps stimulated by the novelty of the choir and the presence of both parents in the choir, now also a university student and currently of Matteo Loiola graduating in piano at the “Perosi” conservatory of Campobasso.
Lately with the anniversary of the tenth anniversary of the AVIS of Santa Croce di Magliano the liturgy has been animated by the Polyphonic Choir and with the special intervention of the organist Antonio Giannone di Rotello.
