Biography

The Choir "Christ the King" is responsible for animating the Holy Mass and is present on the occasion of the main anniversaries (feast of the Immaculate Conception, Christmas, Candlemas, Easter, Corpus Christi, etc., also in the presence of Radio Maria, in 2018 and 2020). The choral service, although taking place mainly at the Parish "Christ the King" of Lentini (SR), led by the parish priest P. Alfio Scapellato and the vice-parish priest P. Marco Scolla, sometimes it is also carried out in other communities, such as the Convent of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers at Monte Carmelo di Villasmundo (SR) or for the Forty Hours, at the Parish of San Luca Evangelista, located in Lentini. The choir also ensures its presence at parish concerts, which constitute an important moment of aggregation of our community. It is right to remember the conductors who gave prestige to the "Cristo Re" Choir: the Masters Marcello Oddo and Donatella Di Mari. Currently in charge of the direction, Maestro Alfio Sgalambro.
